SAMLA 100 RACE – TERMS, CONDITIONS & PRIVACY POLICY

By ticking the agreement box and completing registration, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to the following:

1 Eligibility and Race Categories

The Samla International Race is open to athletes of all nationalities, both male and female, who are 18 years of age or older on race day. The race has two categories only: Men and Women. There are no professional, elite, age-group or amateur divisions; all athletes in each category compete in a single overall ranking, and prizes are awarded based on the overall results of each category. The organizer may verify my identity, age and gender using the identification document I submit at any time before or during the event.

2 Registration Information

I confirm that all information I provide is true, accurate and complete. Registration is personal and may not be transferred to another person or deferred to a future edition. False or incomplete information may lead to cancellation of registration or disqualification without refund.

3 Fees and No-Refund Policy

All registration fees are final and non-refundable. This applies in all cases, including withdrawal, illness, injury, failure to attend, failure to submit the required medical certificate, failure to obtain a visa or travel to Qatar, disqualification, or changes to the course, schedule or format. Any bank or payment charges are my responsibility.

4 Medical Certificate

I agree to submit a valid medical certificate, signed by a licensed physician, confirming that I am medically fit to take part in an extreme multi-sport endurance race, within the timeframe and in the format specified by the organizer. If I fail to provide an acceptable medical certificate, I will not be allowed to race, and no refund will be issued.

5 Medical Fitness and Personal Responsibility

I confirm that I am in good physical and mental health, adequately trained for a 100-kilometre endurance event, and competent in open-water swimming, off-road cycling, running and kayaking. I understand that the race involves serious risks, including injury, heat exposure, dehydration, and harsh desert and sea conditions, and I voluntarily accept these risks. I agree to disclose any relevant medical condition to the organizer. I accept full responsibility for my own health and safety, and any injury, illness or medical condition I suffer during or as a result of my participation, including any pre-existing condition, is my sole responsibility.

6 Medical Support and Emergency Treatment

The organizer will provide a medical team, safety staff and support along the course during the race. The presence of this support does not transfer responsibility for my health or safety to the organizer. I consent to receive first aid and emergency medical treatment, and to be evacuated or transferred to a hospital if the medical team considers it necessary. I agree to follow the instructions of medical staff, including any decision to withdraw me from the race. Any costs of hospital treatment, evacuation or repatriation beyond on-site medical care are my responsibility, and I am strongly advised to hold personal medical and travel insurance that covers endurance sports.

7 Release of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I release Qatar Challenge Racing Club, its staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners and service providers from all liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage or theft arising from my participation, including loss of or damage to my personal belongings and equipment, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

8 Equipment

I am responsible for providing and maintaining my own race equipment, including all items on the mandatory equipment list published by the organizer. I agree to present my equipment for inspection when requested. Athletes who do not carry the mandatory equipment may be refused at the start or penalized during the race.

9 Race Rules, Safety and Conduct

I agree to follow all race rules, cut-off times, safety briefings and instructions from race officials. Athletes who miss a cut-off time will be withdrawn from the race. Decisions made by race officials are final. I agree not to use any prohibited substance or method and to cooperate with any anti-doping control carried out under the applicable rules. I agree to act with respect toward other participants, staff, volunteers and the environment. The organizer may disqualify or remove any participant for breach of the rules, unsafe behaviour or misconduct, without refund.

10 Prize Money

Prize money is awarded according to the official results of the Men's and Women's categories. Payment may require verification of identity and results, and may be withheld if an athlete is disqualified or found in breach of these terms. Any bank charges or applicable deductions are the responsibility of the recipient.

11 Travel, Visas and Accommodation

I am responsible for arranging and paying for my own travel, visa, entry requirements and accommodation. The organizer may provide a support letter on request but is not responsible for any visa refusal or travel disruption, and no refund will
